RESISTANCE Announces Events In Buenos Aires, Medellin, And Lima
RESISTANCE are rounding out 2022 by showcasing the most in-demand house and techno talents across Latin America.
RESISTANCE Buenos Aires has remained a staple in the RESISTANCE circuit since 2015, when the Argentinian capital hosted the first-ever RESISTANCE stage. This year’s Buenos Aires event will span two days and feature a highly-coveted RESISTANCE x Drumcode collaboration. Recruiting some of Drumcode’s favorite acts including Brazil’s leading techno export ANNA, fast-rising German producer/DJ Lilly Palmer, and Berlin techno duo Pan-Pot are slated to perform during this special crossover with Nicolas Taboada as the local support. Drumcode boss Adam Beyer will take the decks to close out this historic collaborative event.
Founded in 1996, Beyer has developed Drumcode into one of the most recognized techno labels in the world over the last few decades. Consistently one of Beatport’s top selling labels, Drumcode has delivered unrelenting releases from a variety of international acts in addition to hosting a number of label showcases around the globe.
Rounding out the epic two-day event, RESISTANCE Buenos Aires will also host headlining performances from GRAMMY-nominated UK duo Camelphat, Knee Deep In Sound boss Hot Since 82, Dutch legend and Spectrum label owner Joris Voorn, and Italian brothers and Afterlife favorites Mathame on Friday, December 9. All of these acts will be making their debut performance for RESISTANCE Buenos Aires to showcase their individual brands of electronic music. Argentinian DJ Belu Clavero will represent the local support.
Hosted at the scenic Mandarine Park since its inception, previous RESISTANCE Buenos Aires lineups have included acts like Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Nicole Moudaber, Nic Fanciulli, Sasha & John Digweed, and The Martinez Brothers.
The fourth edition of RESISTANCE Medellin will take place at a brand new venue Estadio Cincuentenario, and feature techno legend Richie Hawtin making his debut event performance. Dubbed “one of the electronic dance world’s intellectual forces” by The New York Times, Hawtin’s prolific career has shaped the modern era of electronic music throughout his various projects
RESISTANCE Medellin will also feature a round of debut headlining performances from German techno maestro Chris Liebing, Dutch legend Joris Voorn, versatile English producer/DJ Eats Everything, New York City icon Layla Benitez, and DJ Mag dubbed “Palestine’s techno champion” Sama’ Abdulhadi. Additional support will come from Colombian locals Matheo Velez and Alexa.
Lima holds an important place in RESISTANCE’s history, having hosted the first standalone RESISTANCE event back in 2016. This upcoming edition will mark RESISTANCE Lima’s fifth edition overall as it finds a new home at the Lima Polo Club.
Transporting the sounds of the underground to Lima, RESISTANCE has recruited headliners Camelphat, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Mathame, Solardo, and Layla Benitez to make their official RESISTANCE Lima debut. Peruvian locals Ammo Avenue and Paul Trelles will also join the Lima roster to showcase their signature style.
Marking a slew of monumental milestones for the RESISTANCE brand, the Latin America tour will close the year on a high note. Each event promises to be an exciting chapter for RESISTANCE while leaving fans patiently awaiting the full lineup for Ultra Music Festival’s 23rd edition in Miami next year.
