After a bold debut last summer, Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi party has made a huge impact in Ibiza in a short space of time.

It is now a firm fixture of the Amnesia landscape with a select few parties each summer and this year it is for another mini-season. The opener on July 19th featured an impressive lineup on the Terrace alone and set a great standard from the off.

The vast Amnesia venue with its spectacular production featuring branded logos and dazzling lights and lasers is awe inspiring the moment you arrive. It’s not long before the Terraza heats up with an international crowd of people all there from the off and ready to go hard from the first kick drum.

Toman and Murphy’s Law deliver compelling sets of tech and house grooves that sound superb on the world class system. The main draw though is the epic three way between the main man himself Joseph Capriati b2b Dennis Cruz and Ben Sterling b2b Toman. It was a vibrant mix of modern classics and fresh surprises. Capriati, known for his ever evolving sound, dropped an electrifying mix of house and techno that kept his hardcore fans happy.

Meanwhile, the Club Room pulses with intense beats from curator and breakout star of the scene Indira Paganotto. When she plays she pulls no punches and drops fierce, dark, powerful techno from across the spectrum. It’s a unique style for Ibiza and one she really makes her own. Also in here on the night were epic sets from Dubfire who drops his big, cosmic techno sounds and rolling basslines, and Lee Ann Roberts and Valentinø who work their way through their own niche collections, feeding off the crowd and taking plenty of twists and turns along the way.

This kickoff event for the season is a real musical and sensory delight. It is clear Metamorfosi have upped their game with decor, artwork and production. The whole night has its own visual and audio style and a cool crowd of music lovers who want to dance all night. Don’t miss this essential underground offering which still has great parties with the likes of Jamie Jones, Paul Kalkbrenner, Sven Väth and Seth Troxler to come.
